Summary of the Job Description:

  • You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to define business architecture, which includes artifacts such as capability maps, value streams, and roadmaps. Our culture is laid-back, social, and entertaining, with a focus on lifelong learning and the flexibility to explore new things.
  • We’re searching for a hands-on architect with experience building value-added solutions and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve long-term success.

What You’re Going to Do for Us

We’re seeking for a Senior Data Architect that knows how to use Azure Data Stack and Spark to model and engineer data.

  • Mentoring and coaching Big Data teams on end-to-end solution design, architecture, and execution.
  • Participate in the design and development of analytical products using Azure Data Services (Synapse, ADF, Analysis Services, Spark/Databricks, PowerBI, and so on).
  • Create logical, conceptual, and physical models for distinct topic areas to meet the analytical needs of different personas.
  • Optimize Azure services for various workloads (batch, streaming, ad-hoc searches, ETL, ML, and so on) as well as cost.
  • Reduce the complexity and fragmentation of enterprise data systems by simplifying data flows and removing unrelated costs.
  • Manageyour own education while also contributing to the organization’s technical skill development.
  • Inspireand promote a team-wide engineering mentality and systems thinking.
  • Ascertainthe platform’s and solution’s conceptual and architectural consistency.
  • Hands-ondevelopment in its purest form.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Computer Science or a similar topic as a bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with large data and distributed computing frameworks.
  • Proven experience with Azure Data Services in the development of data solutions (Synapse, Databricks, Azure Analysis Services).
  • Highly skilled in SQL and ETL job performance optimisation.
  • Spark and Delta Lake provide hands-on experience.
  • Workload orchestration and automation systems such as ADF, AutoSys, RunMyJobs, Control-M, and others.
  • Data modeling expertise and practical experience creating, deploying, and adjusting data models for ETL, data warehousing, and analytical workloads.
  • Building semantic models in Azure Analysis Services and/or SSAS is a plus.
    Experience with Power BI datasets, dashboards, and visualizations.
  • DevOps: Appreciates the CI and CD model and strives to make the system’s consumption and monitoring as simple as possible.
